Bugs Out

Are you that kid ? who love messing around and playing with circuits, bugs and all things electronics? Look no further, Bugs Out is your thing. Oh it's gonna be fun finding all those bugs in the circuit and finding your way to glory.!

Rounds

Round 1 (Prelims): Participants will have to answer a set of questions based on Analog and digital electronic circuits. Top 8 teams will qualify for the next round.

Round 2: Rapid Fire The shortlisted teams will be given a set of design questions consecutively The first 6 teams to answer all the questions will advance to the next round.

Round 3: Debugging The shortlisted teams will be given a circuit which they'll have to identify, debug and redesign. The first 4 teams to complete the task will advance to the next round.

Rules

1.This will be a team event with each team having not more than three members.

2.All members of the team need not be from the same college.

3.All members are expected to exhibit their college ID and Tequest ID cards.

4.All items required for the event will be provided by the coordinators. 5.Use of mobile phone is strictly prohibited.

6.Decision of coordinators will be final.

7.Tequest team will not bear responsibility for any loss of property, injury or delay caused by participants during the event.

8.Teams violating the above rules will be suspended immediately.

9.Cross-college teams are allowed.

10.Malpractices and sabotaging other teams' machines will lead to immediate disqualification. 11.Judges' decision will be final.

12.Organizers reserve the right to make decisions in case of conflicts and other issues.

13.Rules are subject to change at any point in time. All rules will be explained at the event as well.

Paper Bay

Paper Bay is a technical paper presentation competition - a platform to bring to light exciting technical ideas that may change the world. If you have an idea worth spreading, we will provide you the right platform to share the same. Present your idea and earn the respect of your peers and experts in the field.

Format

Papers should be from any one of the following streams:

1.Instrumentation Technology

2.Electrical

3.Electronics

4.Material Science

5.Physics

6.Chemistry

Phases

Phase 1 : An abstract giving complete details of the paper in not more than 600 words is to be sent to pb@tequest.org from 15/01/2018 to 7/02/2018.

Phase 2. : The teams that are shortlisted after thorough examination of the abstracts will be notified via email .The teams must prepare a power-point presentation in MS PowerPoint and must submit a final paper in the format given here.The final presentation will be conducted at Tequest'18. Total time allotted for presentation is 15 minutes of which, 10 minutes is for presentation.All members of the team need not be from the same college.

Rules

1. A team can have a maximum of 3 members.

2. A participant cannot be part of more than one team.

3. It is not necessary that the participants forming a team should be from the same college.

4. There is no restriction in the number of teams from the same college .

5 The work should be original and in the specified format.

6. Students pursuing their graduation and post graduation can participate irrespective of their field of study.

7. A team cannot send in more than 2 abstracts.

8. 20% of the total marks will be allotted for format of Report and the rest is for Presentation style as well as the Question and Answer session.

9. The coordinators reserve the right of rejecting any paper following deviation of the paper from the format specified.

Archi Tech

True Engineer is one who can understand the ground reality with grass roots level, basic engineering concepts and ability to put all these together and think in a collective perspective to find technical solutions to all the critical social problems.This competition will test your skills in designing a real life system. Come, test your practical engineering skills.

4. Maker's Desk

Cyber Physical Systems, the principle behind all smart cities and connected enviornment. The debate surrounding cyber physical system has therefore gained increased practical importance for politics, business and social issues, and is linked to political work issues for community development, new changes in the practical business approaches, effective opportunities for organizations in operational and business process development, with effect on internal and external efficiency of IT to name a few. Get ready for Maker’s Desk, a 24 hour hackathon.

Format

The participants will also be provided with water, food, power points, stationery and Wi-Fi.

Registration Fee: ₹250 per Head

The shortlisted participants should pay the above registration fee on the day of the event.

Rules

1. The team size should not exceed 3 members.

2. Cross - college teams are allowed.

3. The project must be built from scratch.

4. Pre-programmed devices are not permitted.

5. The participants are not allowed to leave the venue until the event is concluded.

6. The contestants are expected to bring project specific components (sensors, actuators, jumpers etc), tools (soldering iron, wire strippers etc) and laptops.

7. The evaluation will be based on the degree of completion, technical complexity and innovativeness of the project.

8. Inappropriate conduct of the team will result in immediate disqualification.

9. The components provided by the organizers should be returned undamaged upon event conclusion. Damage to provided components and properties must be reimbursed.

10. The decision made by the judges shall be final.

11. The shortlisted participants must be present at the venue by 9:00am on the day of the event.
